PURPOSE: To develop a mission mentality throughout MBC; so that we can all visibly begin to fulfill Christ’s instruction found in Acts 1:8.
”But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
CRITERIA:
1) Multi- faceted
2) Relational
3) Involving everyone
OBJECTIVES:
1) Local
• First, attending to the financial and spiritual needs of all Christians at MBC.
• Then, the selection of AT LEAST ONE local initiative that will not only benefit the receiver in material terms but also bring Christ to those who do not know Him.
2) Regional/National/International
• Financial support to specifically designated Christian charitable organizations which help during periods of disaster with both material supplies and the gospel message.
• An ongoing relationship with a Christian organization that goes completely to the unreached.
3) Short/Long Term Mission Trips and Events
• To have relationships with Mission organizations that organize both short & long term mission trips and develop an ongoing relationship with a single church or mission group that can both help spread the gospel and begin exchange programs with MBC to cross-culturally minister to each other and therefore help the mission mentality grow at MBC.
• Organize mission events at MBC to help everyone begin to focus on missions as part of our daily lives. These events can be simple and complex. They will recruit support from all areas of MBC.
4) Leadership Examples
• Through specific testimonies, sponsored events and personal involvement, the leadership at MBC are encouraged to show the way.
