Ministry Leaders: Richard and Leslee Ganton
The Prayer Ministry at Milton Bible Church has several important parts, each of which contributes in a unique but vital way to the life of the church.
The first of these important parts is Sunday Prayer. This is held on Sundays from 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. upstairs in Pastor Jim's office.
The second is the Prayer Chain. 25 dedicated prayer warriors make up 2 teams who are available to pray for your prayer requests. This is accomplished by telephoning the requests through both teams of people, each of whom will pray for your requests. The Coordinator of this ministry is Ruth Bailey.
Thirdly is the Weekly Staff Prayer Meeting. This is held on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Pastor Jim DeMarsh leads this session, at which the staff prays for the church and its ministries among other needs.
Fourthly is New this year…our “Prayer Ministry Team.” This team will train together to minister in prayer at congregational meetings and any church family gatherings.
The fifth part is our Annual Prayer Vigil. This will be held in February of 2009. There will be lots of opportunity for everyone to get involved to pray for friends, family, the church, our community and our world. The date and leaders will be published in our January newsletter.
The sixth and final component of this critical ministry is the Internet Prayer Team which will begin in the fall. Richard Ganton will be working on this and others will be recruited to help out in this area.
