picnic

The annual Church Picnic is a Sunday morning event that happens in June where the church family worships together, outside, with one service, has a meal together, and spends time together.   In past years we have done this at the church in the parking lot, but this year we will be heading to the Brazeau farm.

baptism sunday

This Sunday is going to be an incredible one! Not only will we be enjoying time together as a church family outdoors, but it’s also Baptism Sunday! The service will centre around the many baptisms taking place — a powerful celebration of lives being transformed by Jesus. We’ll hear moving testimonies, cheer on those publicly declaring their faith, and witness each person take the plunge. Let’s come ready to celebrate big — you won’t want to miss it!

faq

WHERE DO I PARK?

There are designated areas for parking. Please look for the team members wearing high-visibility vests — they will assist you.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

If we have a rain day, we will hold the picnic at The Connect Centre, same time.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Please bring along chairs for yourself and family members, or a picnic blanket. For kids, please bring a water bottle, a hat, sunscreen and a bathing suit and towel if you choose to swim.

WILL THE POOL BE OPEN?

The swimming pool will have two lifeguards patrolling, but parents are responsible for their children. Please do not leave swimmers alone who have not had lessons or passed a swim test for the deep end of the pool.

WILL THERE BE BATHROOMS?

Yes, there will be portable washrooms available on the property for everyone to use.

Will there be food? If so, what are we eating?

Yes! We are having a BBQ!

Will we be inside?

This is an outdoor event! There will be some shade available but it is advisable to bring sunscreen, an umbrella, etc., especially if it is a hot day.

What activities will happen?

We will have a mixture of lawn games, a bouncy castle, and the swimming pool will be available.

Bathing suit guidelines

MBC encourages modesty for men and women in fashion, especially when it comes to swimming gear. For women, please wear a one piece bathing suit or tankini that covers mid-section. For men - no speedos! We don't need a Borat moment!🙂

When does the picnic end?

Everyone is encouraged to hang out, have food, and have fun. While there is no particular end time, we anticipate wrapping up by late afternoon.
